Alexis got lower braces

Alexis got lower braces last week. It was very hard on her. They put 6 brackets on her lower teeth and by that night she was in pain. She cried for 2 days. She called me the next day crying and I had to pick her up early at school because she was hurting so bad. After a couple of days she was back to herself but it was so heartbreaking having to see her like that. The orthodontist says that her mouth has improved dramatically and has come a very long way. So maybe she will not have to deal with having all this metal in her mouth a long time. We will see. Poor Baby.

While she was getting her lower braces put on a balloon man came in and made her a beautiful balloon dragonfly and made her day so much better. She was so excited about the dragonfly balloon until the pain started!

The girls playing outside

Houston Rodeo

The girls got to go to the Houston rodeo with their cousins. They had a fun time. The carnival was their favorite part. Alexis really did not like the rodeo part. She has a very soft heart and did not like how rough the cowboys are with the animals. Ashlyn didn't watch much of the rodeo she was just having fun eating cotton candy and playing with Natalie. Thank you Stacie for taking us all to the rodeo it was fun!

Our huge Snow

We had a huge snowfall this year! We have never seen so much snow. We got about 12 inches in one day. Chris and the girls built a very large snowman and as you can see there is plenty of snow left. I stayed in the house and made tortilla soup. I did venture out to take pictures. Alexis of course thought it was a great opportunity to throw snowballs at Mom. Hahaha It was amazing and so pretty.
